You on about "The deconstruction of falling stars" by any chance?

It's the one that roams about a million years into the future.

No, the future is correct.  It's the one that ends with the bald guy morphing into a ball of energy and entering a human shaped encounter suit and jumping out of the system just before Sol goes boom millions of years in the future.

Out of all the episodes of B5, this one gets rerun the least.  I too have yet to see it all the way through from beginning to end.

Oh good. That means Sol doesn't go boom at all during the series. :D

I remember that eppy years back on Channel 4... Season 4.... Hmm, someone once told me C4 only showed the first three seasons... I guess  they were wrong, because I remember it.. oh well, roll on the S4 DVD.

*echoes*

Before I came to HLP, I knew very little about B5.  Now all the stuff that's been posted has intrigued me to have a look-see, but I haven't found a convenient source of reruns yet.

Not to mention the multitude of plot threads in the series seems to indicate that B5 is most effective as an integrated whole, rather than a collection of episodes.  And in that regard, watching re-runs is far less rewarding then seeing the episodes as they are released. :sigh:

I have all DVD's (besides the last season) :D And I have all 6 seasons on my comp :D

Ow, and "Deconstruction of Falling Stars" is 6 million years into the future. The end of that ep was cool :D

Spoiler:
It was just awesome and unexpected to see that bald human guy to transform into a non-solid being and put himself into a vorlon like encounter suit :D

Can anyone tell me which series brought the arrival of the Shadows ?

You're gonna hate me, but before then, I thought B5 was full of constant reteric and "build-ups that lead to nothing" (like alot of Sci-fi) which did my head-in.

The 'arrival'? I don't recall them ever as being away (Unless you are talking post-Shadow war) :p Or do you mean when they first appeared (showed themselves) in B5?

I mean when they first showed 'em selves. There's an episode in series2 (I think) called "Coming of the Shadows" but the blurb on the DVD case is alittle vague.

well, they first appeared in Season 1 "Signs and Portents"
Then they appeared in Chrysalis.
Then the entire next 3 seasons.

Which reminds me, I just ordered Season 2 from Amazon. My personal favorite season.

I have always wanted to have all the B5 shows.  I think I am going to have to take a look at amazon to see how much they are going for these days...

Guess I'll be after series 3 then thanks Stuneap.
I wish C4 would repeat 'em. BBC2 have been repeating ST TNG since it first apperared (well, pretty much).

Start from Season 1, not Season 3.  Either that, or at least Season 2

Season 2 is a better starting point for the overall story.  Season 1 as I recall didn't have much going on except to introduce the characters and back story.

What cable/satellite service and what channel do you get B5 from? I've yet to see a sci-fi show or movie I've ever heard of on the Sci-Fi Channel.

Aside from Babylon Squared, Chrysalis, Mind War, Signs and Portents, and the A Voice in The Wilderness duology, which are some of the most important episodes in the series.

'suppose all the history of the previous B stations would be interesting. I'm not really bothered about havin' all the episodes though.

Plus they're what, £50 a season ?

you could download the most important episodes from KaZaA.

Also, Season 1 has got Sinclair. That's gotta count for something.

Sci-fi channel ran SAAb, Battlestar Galactica, buck rogers, and a slew of others often in block from 11am till 4 pm (5 complete episodes a day for a week)

now on TNT they ran B5 a few times

Oh yeah I saw a episode of B5 crusade last week on sci -fi I didn'y know existed (I thought there were only 13 episodes, now I know there are 14 or more.. :)

I'm on Charter and usually catch the odd episode on TNT from time to time.

*edit*
The only big thing about Sinclair was the fact that he was Valen.  He couldn't fight all that well and he always was muttering a stiff unimpressive "Keep me informed":shaking: I can't stand it!
