Probably, although I don't remember it in particular.

Bob, I'd forgotten how sexy the Neptune was. You did a very good job on that. Why don't you do more MODELLING?

how do you take pictures of TS objects ?
is it "print screen" ?
if so, where does the image end up ? and what format ?

I've some stuff I'd like to show myself ;7

I could do the 300/wk, but I've got my own school work to do. You still should model more. Your work looks good and your style is, in my opinion, unique. I, for one, would prefer better models and less extra stuff in the SCP, but I'm in the minority.

Magatsu, you need to render up the object and then save the render. Look at the buttons on the top-right of the screen, and make sure your view is Main View Only. Click the render button and there you are :) I'm not sure how to save, as I've never done that, I only render them up to have a look and do the images in 3D Exploration.

It's okay, got it sussed. There's a "Save render to file" linked to the main "FIle" menu. Cheers.

Apologies for attempting to hijack the thread. Didn't seem worth starting a whole new one.

If you hadn't mentioned it I would have NEVER known about that stunning piece of work. The Neptune was EXACTLY what I was looking for... I like the thought of a subspace vessel that lies in wait until the enemy is spotted.

Think of the horrible WC movie when the Kilrathi cruiser is chasing LT Blair (true they were just hiding behind a planet BUT same concept)...

"we almost got that Terran, a few seconds more Grrrr!"

"Chuft! (captain) The fighter is sending a signal to the jump node"

"Too late, nothing can save him now! Muhahaaha..."

"Chuft!!! Terran SUB jumping in BEHIND US! Tracking multiple torpedoes, prepare for impact!"

[Bye bye Kitties] ;7

hell it wouldn't even need to jump out, they'd just get, 'hmm why did that single little fighter just fire that little missle/little non-damageing beam thingy at us...
holy crap!!! 476 torpedos just suddenly apeared around us and are all heading in our general direction. We're DOOOOOMMMED!"

I'll accept that, if you want to pay me for my work,
well lets just say I've been doing this stuff at the expense of more of a paycheck, if someone wants to pay me ;7 hell yaeh

I hope some campaign makes use of this. ;)

But maybe make it Ballistic, or some junk...

the mission structure I had in mind was:

mission were you are kicking the ass of many capships with SSM strikes, then half way through it stops working and you get a message from a Neptune class the guys you were blowing up managed to trace the SSM stikes tragectorys and have sortied fighters/bombers and you have to leave and defend it, once all the hostiles are gone the Neptune would shift into a diferent subspace layer and you would go back to what you were doing before, only with more of a focus on knocking out sensors and fighters

Way to hijack my thread :p

But yeah, real nice ship, Bob. Bit too Vorlon-ish, but still good. Props.

I said I COULD afford it, not that I WOULD do it. Dude, don't you realize what kind of hell my wife would raise if I gave you $300/wk of "her" money?

not my problem, all I'd care about is I'm now getting enough to quit my horable job at the meat packing plant to do something I love
Title: Space Sub [Untextured]
Post by: phreak on November 26, 2003, 11:22:05 am
you could start up a maggot killing service and contract out to your former meat packing plant

Dude. That sucks. But meat packing. If I'm not careful, I'll turn this into one of Raven2001's fighter threads.

I never saw your ship before bobbau, but it's really cool
Title: Hmmm

Mind if I retexure the scheme and call it Nautilus? Methinks I need to find a torpedo for this and I got a good candidate in mind...

BTW I JUST bought Cosmic Warrior Zero (by Leiji Matsumoto 4 DVD box set). This is the story of a soldier who is ordered to hunt down the space pirate Harlock. The ships on the box look awesome. If I see some good screens in the movie I will transfer then to the pc and post them as concepts for modling is anyone might be interested...

yaeh, sure, modify it however you like
Nautilus is a bit out of the namein convention,
but... meh
(Neptune is a roman god, roman gods are for tarren vasudan joint projects, wich is what this was)

uh it's been in game the entire time, I gave a table entry and everything
