I think this one would be useful:
Imagine a double-barrelled turret, with two firing points.
Both firing points have(for example) a Prometheus S as its main gun. You probably know that FS turrets fire only one blast per round. Can it be possible to tell the turrets to fire as many blasts as many firing points it is having?
So the turret I described above would be firing double Prom S blasts per round instead of firing a single one?

Isn't that only weapon-specific? And only valid for secondary weapons?

i wouldn't know, but i heard talking about swarming turrets.
but, check da siggy, the only thing i do for the SCP is copying and pasting readme's together.

You can certainly put swarming missiles like the Hornet on a turret. Whether 'swarm' works with primaries I don;t know... try experimenting :)
Just remember, the code monkies aren't implementing anything at the mo, so you best leave it for now and repost it when they're paying attention so it doesn't get forgotten :nod:

The 'Swarm' Flag works with primaries, but
1) only use them on multi-part turrets, otherwise they will never hit
2) the firepoints are fired in sequence
3) the first firepoint used for the sequence shifts each time.
It's too bad the coders refuse to touch almost ANYTHING related to turrets with a twenty foot pike....:sigh:

So that's why the turrets on the Eris from Starforce didn't work but the new Orion's turrets allegedly do.

The Babylon Project uses swarm tags on gun turrets, and they have the problem with aiming...

What about the 'shotgun' (sorry, I don't remember the proper name) effect that was added? Couldn't you use that to make multi-point turrets fire in salvos?

Don't make this a default, the way multi-firing point turrets work is ideal for swarm secondaries.
And the shotgun effect would make multiple projectiles shoot all at once as I understand it, not in sequential blasts.

But The orion's 3 barrels look like hell with only one barrel firing...

Anyway, it'd be nice to have some solution to get TBP ships shoot like they ought to, in salvos and more accurately.
