It's 19:38, and a very sweet 28° over here. Been to the beach and gone body-boarding and sunbaking recently, enjoying the view and soaking up the heat. How's the weather up there, guys? :D
-
well, it's autumn, I'd guess. by my standards, at least. probably because I moved 400 km south since this time last year. back home where I used to live, it's winter, I think.
fock! it's decamber, and it's just snowed once here, and that was a month ago...
-
Snow? *scratches head*
Who's got Christmas plans? I get to do a lot in the next couple of months:
- 5-7 December, school Christian camp
- 26 December - 5th January, "Beach Mission" (Christian outreach on the beach for 10 days)
- 19-23 January, Katoomba Youth Leaders Convention (Christian training camp)
I love holidays. Summer just makes it better :) What do you guys do in Winter?
-
I stay inside and drink julmust...
-
well...tis winter and still there is no snow, but when snow comes i'll build a snow fort and wait for a few unsuspecting school kids. :)
-
Summer is awesome. In the coming months I have
Indoor Hockey Every Weekend
Movie Night (OK, not summer related, but meh)
Adventure world trip (Sort of combination water and amusemaent park)
Road Trip down South (hopefully)
Christmas
New Years
Boxing Day Barby at someone's house (There's always one :))
More Barbies all over the place
Trip to Albany for Indoor Carnival (Hopefully)
Etc. etc.
Needless to say, I like Summer :)
-
*shakes fist in a generally southwesternly direction*
;)
My summer's over, back from Thanksgiving, and school in.. 3 hours. Maybe I should have slept.. naahhh!
I'd better end this post. I get delirious when I don't sleep and that would be bad. Also, it's cold and windy in Edmond, Oklahoma.
-
*would like to note that he actually hates summer..*
-
:D What's so bad about it? Find a pool and jump in it!
BW, you win. My timetable's pretty good, but yours is crazy. ;)
*sniffs at having to wait a fortnight after ROTK is released to see it*

I second that. The way I see it, you can always put on another layer of clothes. There's a limit on how far you can go in the other direction. :p

one that won't eat you alive would be nice..:p
and i just don't like the heat... and the mosquitoes... nasty little ****ers... i hear even ONE and i go on search and destroy..

Damn you Setekh, and damn your Australian summers as well. It's bloody freezing here in the UK and that won't change for about another 8 months.
As for what I'm doing...
- Seeing Feeder and TCTC live in a couple of weeks at Wemberly
- Another LAN event up in London (yay!)
- Much drinking / parties over the Christmas period
- Working...
- And of course celibrating my parents birthdays (both of them... yikes) and Yule.
-
i am leaving to Australia with my wife 19th decemper i will be there about 4 week's just in vacationb and there will be some work for me as well few meeting's after that i will come back to here (japan) and then it's usual work, work and some more work
and RL thing's

Summer's not all that fun when you have to work. And your beach house is trashed.
Still, there are many many reasons to like summer. A fifteen minutes walk in a park on a sunday around here will make you love summer forever. Well, brazilian summer, at least.
;)
-
Laydeez?
-
Oh, quit whining. It's finally winter, after all that heat and bugs and poison ivy! Weather that's not so ****in' hot you can't leave the house! Finally, everything's like it should always be- COLD, DARK, AND RAINY.
Could do without this damned wind, but other than that- ha!
'Course, it probably helps that I find 40*F T-shirt weather.
-
Snow squalls and -2c. No thanks to you southern hemispherers! :D

You say that as if putting on all those extra layers of clothes will actually make things alright. Then you don't know what it's like to be in a really cold winter. :p Of course, our winters aren't that cold either, but... meh, they both suck if you take extremes. The point is, Australian summers rock. ;)
T, get a bug zapper. I've got about 5 dotted around the house. *bzzt* :thepimp:
K... yeah, sorry. :o ;)
-
My plans are thus:
13th: Mates back from uni for christmas - get very very drunk.
24th: Crimbo eve - get very very drunk.
31st-1st: 2004! Wheee! Get very very drunk.
Oh, and some more drinking, and general party-type stuff in between. My crazy grandmother's coming to stay over xmas, so I'm going to be somewhere else....
-
my first plan is to survive finals and get rid of this $#%@ cold and sore throat
its about 45F/8C here

:D Add Big Day Out in February and Paintballing "Soon" (Date courtesy of Tails, the master putter offer, so that's definitely in the "maybe" category, but 'twill be fun if it happens :D

Winter is coming!
Hmm, perhaps I shouldn't have said that... :nervous:
-
snow is fun until you need to drive in it

And this, gentlemen, is why this time next year, I should be living in Australia. No more of the cold for me. Heck, even in Adelaide, the winter LOW is warmer than the average winter HIGH where I live now.
-
Well this morning I woke to a cool 70 degrees F. and the sun beaming down :D Walked to work with a smile on my face. The coldest it got here this weekend was 57 degrees F. And right now it's probably like in the high 70's.

:wtf:
That would make me want to die, humid or not.
Give me some good old snow and temperatures in the negatives, thank you very much. Summer is all well and good, as long it stays below 25 at the maximum (and then only for a few days at a stretch), but there's nothing like some crisp air and shining snow. Skiing, snowmobiling (whee!), skating. You haven't lived until you know the joy of coming in from the cold to sit in front of the warm fire with hot chocolate. Then, of course, there are the snow days (i.e. it is blizzarding too badly to allow vehicles on the road, so everyone gets a free holiday).
Dangnabit, I wish I were out of Vancouver and back somewhere in the rest of Canada where we have real winter.
-
let's see, the sun comes up at 8:30 and sets at 15:00 which exactly when I am at school, the sky is grey all the time, when it's not dark, and it's been raining some ****, that certainly ain't snow for the last 3 weeks.
Fine, how are you?
-
Well Scotland has been under the shadow of some rather large clouds over the last few days. Snow at xmas... probably not, probably in January.
So I'll spend the next few months pursuing indoor activities with me mates: Mainly drinking, pc games, and jokes.

Me, if I'm online.

It isn't that cold here. And there's no snow to shovel. :p
I even learned how to use the thermostat this year. Now I control nature. :drevil:

Yeah, but you cant ski in that weather now can you?
I hate the heat. If it doesnt get cold enough to snow at least 1/4 of the year, then I dont wanna live there :p
-
Hmm, lesse, it's 28 C degrees where I live.
It was 28 C degrees yesterday, and it's around 30 degrees during the summer. We have 1 season here, it's called "hot" :D

Yes you can, you just need an artificial ski ramp, or whatever you call it. :D
-
yes.. and if you fall on that, its gonna hurt a helluva lot more, one because you wont be wearing warm clothes (padding) and two, waxy-rubber stuff is a lot harder than powder snow....

Hey, I didn't say it was good, or even practical. But it's possible. :D

It's usually 90 F, but now that it's winter, it's a couple degrees lower :D
