i need tips for good french music. anything will do, as long as it has lyrics and good pronounciation. i need to practice both my French hearing and my pronounciation, and my teacher advised me to it this way. i'll be happy with anything of some quality, though i like rock and some blues/jazz best.
i'd be rather gratefull if you could post the names of some artists/bands here.

I could give you tons but i'll stick to one of my favourites. I recommend Alizee (www.moi-alizee.com). :p

Hmm alright, for rap check out Mc Solaar (http://www.solaarsystem.net/), I guess this one might be hard when it comes to hearing what he says, but if you like rap then he's the guy. For rock, KYO maybe suits you (http://www.kyomusic.com).

thanks.
on a completely different note, how many files cann you download in KaZaA light++ at once before it craps out?
-
Infinite... But that could get this thread closed... *flips off the RIAA*

I got about 500 pending downloads, and my CPU isn't overly happy about it. I asked about this at the Fast Track forums, but all they said was "looks like we have a new record"

Alizee. Argh. You know she's like a french Britney Spears, you know? :p
try Noir désir ( that's rock ), Kasperl. Or if you like funny music, get some songs from Alexis HK, that's all lyrics stuff, and I love, it's... different.
Or if you want old things, you can try telephone or indochine.
Then you have stuff from Johnny Hallyday, Alain Souchon, Goldman, etc, if you like that stuff.
-
Don't forget Michel Sardou...
-
He goes in the "etc" part.
-
BTW - regarding copyright / link posting / etc. if you guys want to PM eachother or use email / whatever then go right ahead. You can do anything but post on the forums / elsewhere on HLP about it. From that point of view you have a lot of room to talk about whatever you like :)

[color=66ff00]Indeed, there's the HLP IRC channel too.

Well, for your rock/blues needs, I'd recommend Gustav, he sings english/french/german
Try this (http://n.ethz.ch/student/ebuerli/download/Gustav - la derniere lettre.mp3) for example.
Everybody stay calm, this is a legal download from his site www.gustav.ch

/me likes KYO.
i love this, i can practicly ask for any help with my homework, and i actually get it, without having to deal with annoying teachers, or anything. i really do love this place.
