I play Freespace Open 12_05_2003 version
latest Media VP
The Port and BWO demo mods (without the tables)
I can play fine but when I exit (no matter how I exit) the game freezes and 30 min. later the little XP error thing comes up and just closes.
I can't find the problem whats going on?
-
i dunno. have you tried changing religions?
-
Man thats the problem I've worshiping the wrong god. damn catholic. No really, It doesn't make sense and I just discovered that my inferno version in my D: drive wont play its music. Opinions on this would help too.
-
That always happens to me when I run it in compatability mode.
But a way to kill it is in teh task manager kill the process, not the actual application.
-
I don't have it in compatibility mode but the kill task works for me.
About the music on my inferno.
I created my own folder "Inferno" in D: drive
copied the sparkies and the root VP from FS2
put the inferno build and launcher + set up the inferno modes
Just in case I put the Apllication extensions ".dll" two of them
put stuff like the hud views.
Then play it and it was working perfectly for a while but now I started over and my music won't work. except the mainhall screen, it works fine. Any Ideas? sorry so long

Why?
You can use the mod picking options from the FS2_open launcher to pick the mod you want. Why do this?
-
tell me more??
where do I place everything?
-
You said you copied the sparkies and root vps, what about the tango one though? That's where the music is!
-
do I need the regular Fs2 music, if I only want the Inferno?
And its warble not the tangos
-
thanks for the help it was the warble file I was missing.
and the reason I rather not learn to use the mod selection is because my C: drive is low. But my D: drive is....WOW!!
-
I'd copy your data folder, uninstall FS2 and reinstall it to D: then.
-
will do. :)
