Post by: comICEMAN on December 22, 2003, 07:35:47 am
is it possible to make an space_jump or an second veeeeeery fast afterburner which you usually cant use, but when its triggered in the mission it will be activated? because flying many serval thousand units can take long

Phreak is working on an addition like this for FS2_open as we speak.

In the meantime you could just make some sort of wibbly-wobbly swirly thing some how (one method is to warp in a knossos portal centred on the player and then instantly warp it out again.) and then just use the set-ship-position fom FS2 to move the ship several thousend metres away.

I tried that once... the warp effect is BIG.  It felt like subspace was collapsing around me. :shaking:

You don't even need the Knossos for this, though... you can use the warp-effect sexp. ;)

The library is frickin hard. I have every other level done on legendary but that one (Which is still on Heroic)

WTH are you talking about. Library is not hard at all. In fact none of the levels are hard on legendary anymore.
I really need Halo 2 badly...

well it was hard until i started shooting instead of running.  then its more tedious than hard.

...righty. Well, the Library is hard for me, I have a tendancy to absorb fire.  That, and I like to throw grenades like they're going out of style.

Anyway, that last level's cutscene, on legendary, was pretty funny, if not a bit dissapointing for a 'bonus'...

With the Sarge guy and a Cove elite fighting...?

They see the explosion look at eachother, and the guy tells the elite "hold me" as they embrace and watch the ring explode...;)

Psshhh.. Library on legendary turned out to be waay easy for me. Only took me like two hours to beat. ;)

Now the second snow level I think is going to be a *****..

heh lots of covie tanks and hunters.  and that was on "normal" so i could beat it first

Nah, Covenant troops are easy for me. I like attacking the tanks.  I did the snow levels both on Legendary first try... it's those damned Flood. Like Zerg, I guess...

all you need is an AR for those little bastards and shotgun for anything bigger.  You also want to shoot the spore carriers first cause they make a nice boom.  On another note Plasma pistols are good against sentinels

Getting somewhat back on topic:  It would be nice to add some additional POF data to the model to specify any external weapons like the bolt-on turret, mine layer, and booster pod

WAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
I HATE YOU ! I HATE YOU !!

:hopping: :hopping: :hopping: :hopping: :hopping: :hopping:

My "in the works" fighter is gonna have wings with external cannon, which i hope, can be treated like turrets (sub system data/ debris etc). The idea being the player could eliminate some of the ships fire power by "blowing off " the wings.

It was gonna be my ships party trick.

I thought no-one else had thought of it. sob!

:sigh: :sigh:

here's a fun/lame challenge.  go through the game on easy only using pistol whip on the covies/flood.

I love to sneak up behing the Elites and pistol whip them... And grunts are hella-funny when you beat them while they sleep.
