Someone really needs to post some screenshots.
-
please press ye old screenshots button on the webpage :p
-
Button doesn't work.
-
He's right, most of the website isn't operational. I'm about 6% into the download but it's going to take a while by the looks of things. Thanks for posting the news about it though :)

i love the motion blur
but WHY IN GODS NAME DOSENT ANYONE MAKE JOYSTICK SENSITIVITY SLIDERS?!
unplayable.... cant target my ship just keeps on rotateing wheeeee
-
Obviously you need to learn how to handle rotational vectors. ;)
Now, my new stick DOES have a sensitivity slider. I just have to adjust the response curve (on a per axis level, for any/all ten axes)
-
uhm michael you dont get it..... my joystick dosent calibrate right.... and the deadzone slider dosent affect Z axis rotation ;)
-
how do you have a 10 axi joystick?
most I'v ever heard of (and can imagin) was 4
-
10 axi? uhm no its a 4 axi joy..... X Y Z and Rx (throttle i think it was RX)
-
Bob:
Stick X, Y (2)
Microstick X, Y (2)
ANT Knob (1)
RNG Knob (1)
Throttle (1)
Toe Breaks (2)
Rudder (1)
A total of 10 analog Axes. Unfortunately, DirectX may not recognize them all in analog mode, but I can rewrite the spares to send digital keypresses to get around the limitations of the input api.

and you need that many why....?:wtf:
-
Because they are there and I can use them. What better reason is there?
-
As my luck always runs, the download server was shut down, just as I reached 99%.

My friend too :)
The game is fantastic, though I have played only one mission. And it's free, so everyone even remotely interested should give it a try.
-
I've got it now, and I'm rather impressed with it. The graphics are breathtaking, the story looks sweet, etc. etc.
Unfortunately, the mouse support is horrible.

So's my cooking, but you don't hear anyone else complaining :p
What do you expect for a free game. Theres bound to be some quirks and troubles.
-
Absolutely amazing - For unofficial stuff :). Been waiting for this one. I DO hope they decide to continue though....
-
Looks really good, I liked it a lot ^^
-
Impressive, thats all I got to say :D. This game is as realistic as it almost can be. Hope it gets further
-
okay, since this topic is bumped, i'd like to mention that IFH gets a big mention in this month's PC-Powerplay (australian pc games mag) actually, it gets a full page dedicated to it, with a small mention to The babylon project and Budha5 projects as well..
australians should pick this one up, for the rest of ya, i'll see if i can get a clean scan of the article later on :)
-
Thanx for the info Turnsky, that'll give me a reason to ascertain a copy ;)
-

I'm still hoping they will release the English language version of Homeplanet, so that people can start modding.
I love the flight model of that game.
I'll give this one a look. Thanks for posting about it!
Cheers!

Since its coming to the end of the month, I've decided to post the article considering Turnsky has not done so yet and it can be found at the VWBB in this B5 thread (http://www.hard-light.net/vwbb/showthread.php?threadid=9781). :D

well, yeah, hadn't had much time..

Hi everyone, i hope someone can give me a hint with the Babylon 5 Mod.
I can start the game correctly, and everything is working fine, but the Subspace-Engine does not work (the ALT-J Button) so i can´t exit the first mission.
Can anyone give me a little hint what i am doing wrong??????
-
Hi Mörker
:welcome:
Little I know about the B5 mod, but surely someone more educated on the topic will answer your questions in no time..

Well to be fair you're on the wrong board as TBP actually lives here (http://www.volitionwatch.com/vwbb/index.php?s=) but since I happen to know the answer I'll save you getting yelled at for asking it over there :) Besides no one ever mentions TBP over here on HLP for some strange reason so it's nice to talk about it for a change :)
There is a bug with the campaign that causes that problem with mission one. There is a work around that allows you to play all the campaign missions in the tech room, avoiding the problem. You can find more info on that here (http://www.hard-light.net/vwbb/showthread.php?threadid=8852)
Have fun playing TBP. It's a fine mod :)

Thanks, this is exaktly what i was looking for.
I´ll try it right away and see if it works.
