So, yeah. What else can I say? I don't feel like shouting, screaming, crying, or anything of the sort. I'm saddened, but not devastated - don't feel the need to walk around on eggshells around me or anything like that.
He was quite the character. Don't know how much it shows online, but my (and my dad's) sense of humor comes from him.
I trust he's in a much better place now.

My old grandpa's on his last legs. Slowly losing his marbles, as they say. Every now and then it occours to me that before long I'm going to be in a black suit and saying good bye for the final time. And while I certainly regret that my last conversation with him may indeed be the last one we have, I have this nagging idea that perhaps the prospect ought to fill me with more horror then it actually does.
I suspect that I won't cry when he's gone, but I know for sure that will miss him. In the mean time I will visit him when ever I can because I know he's on borrowed time.
So there you have it. Not sure if it's relevant to you Sarnie but nevermind. My condolences, for what they're worth.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa Sandwich, although I'm glad you're not devastated I understand how it can feel. Take care :(

Dude. I lost my grandmother this year. I know where you're at, I think. Condolences, my friend.
-
Condolences. I was shattered when my grandpa ( father side ) then my grandma ( mother side ) died, wasn't pretty, so I guess it's better you feel that way.
-
Condolences Sandy, I hope you and your family keeps thier hope intact throughout.

Condolences.:(

Truly sorry Sandwich...I know what its like.
It looks like he had a good long life and thats pretty much all you can ask for. My grandfathers were the same way.
-
Dang... sorry Sandwich :(
-
:( :( :( :( the problem with grandparents, is that they're old.
-
Condolences. :(

My condolences, Sandwich. By the looks of the pictures he was a really kewl dude. I know what it's like to lose grandparents, because I´ve lost all four of 'em, in 5 month intervals. The most horrible two years of my life, I might add.
So, good luck there.

While I hate all old people, I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say your grandfather wasn't a complete cock.
See, I'm good at reading people, even with just a photo, and he looks like an okay guy.......aside from the whole Jewish thing.
That's the least-offensive post you're getting from me.

Well, it never really hit me till they actually cremated my grandad.... although he spent a long time in hospital as his liver was failing (amongts pretty much everything else), so it was probably a relief in many ways that he wasn't suffering any more.
Anyways, my condolences to you Sandwich.
Trick is to remember that they lived, not that they died.

No, the trick is to remember that they were screwed from the start.

[color=66ff00]Just remember the happiness he brought to you and he's always alive.
He's in a much better place as you said and since life gives us so many oppurtunities to live only for ourselves with no regard for others I like to think of it as 'congratulations, you made it'. :)

lol - dare I say that you would have actually liked him? His favorite Bible verse was "I will accept no bull from your household." ;)
-
I'm sorry to hear that. :(
-
Why? I thought it was funny.
Oh, right...

My condolences. :(

All my granparents died when I was fairly young. I regret not knowing them better.
-
Mine are 3/4 alive and annoy the piss out of me.
One's an alcoholic theif and the other two are just retarded leeches who can't take the hint that each and every time they talk to me I come one step closer to burning them to death while they sleep.
*coughs sickly*

Well, ah... condolences then. Didn't know him, so can't say anything in the least bit meaningful, but I've got a grandparent I was rather attached to going right on the way in an unpleasant fashion so I kinda have an idea what it feels like. Maybe. Sorta.
Anyway... um.
