how do you covert textures to PCX if you don't have photoshop?
-
Try Irfanview: http://www.irfanview.com/
-
Thanks alot odyssy that was the only thing that is keeping me from modeling my own ships. :)
-
No problem. The batch conversion feature in Irfanview is useful if you've got a lot of stuff to convert :)
-
can GIMP convert textures ?
I fairly sure it's basically an open version of photoshop.
-
Yup. But Irfanview is more appropriate if that's all he needs :)
-
There's also Bright, just to be complete :)
-
And the various PSP demos
-
sorry to bump an old thread, but can anyone provide a link for any of the mentioned texture converters. The Irfan view link is off, Google search for "bright brought" up a sword shop (?) and other curios and the GIMP is being a pain in the ass.
ugh, maybe I should re-phrase that last line.....
-
IIRC, you can find bright somewhere in the Epic website....
Try zdnet.co.uk as well - might give you some luck there.
-
I grabbed an image converter affair from zdnet. I'll see how it goes. Thanks.
