Could someone host the FS1 movie soundtracks for me?
I don't have the english version of FS1, but want to run my port in english :)
I have converted all my movies but they're missing the english speech, so all i'd need is the WAV files for the following movies:
- ancients 1
- ancients 2
- ancients 3
- ancients 4
- ancients 5
- command brief
I already have the original english sound streams for the rest of the movies.
-
I know they're around here somewhere, check Stealth's site maybe?
-
the ones i already have ARE around... the others arent.
-
... anyone?
it's only going to take 10 minutes. :blah:
-
I don't have the .mve's offhand, but surely somebody must.
Help him...*ties steak around his neck*
they'll like you now.

All the Ancients movies, saved using the DivX audio codec (http://www.divxmovies.com/faq/) (There's a link somewhere on that page).
Edit: Scratch that, it's actually all the ancients songs in one. You should be able to extract them using Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net) or the Sound Recorder.

....or Virtrual Dub: it's freeware BTW.
-
Download Goldwave wherever that comes from. Use it to record off your sound card, then edit like mad when you have 'em all. I did all the Starcraft and BW cutscenes like that.
-
nuclear1 if he has the DivX converted files there's no whatsoever reason to re-record the audio - it will further damage the qulaity, the the worst thing to do.
All he has to do is use Virtual Dub's save wav function - it will save the entire audio tract to an wav file using the same codec - there are tons of possibilities to convert it from there for further editing and mixing.

404 - not found.
And I know how to split it and get the sounds :)

Sorry, no tilde: :)

you are my hero
Now the only thing that's missing in my high quality movie selection is the command briefing. Anyone want to help with that?

Wha? ;)
Sorry, don't have FS1 installed offhand. If you can wait for the weekend, I can do it for you. :) Otherwise, *bump*
-
You don't even need it installed though, the MVE is right in the data/movies folder on some of the CDs.
I'll wait for the weekend, it's definately better than [insert long silence in thread] :D

*weekend bump*
-
...what do you need again? The original MVE's?
-
someone's too lazy to scroll up to the first post :)
I need the sound of the command briefing MVE from FS1. I don't have an english FS1 version, but am running the port and FS2 in english and I want movies that match up. I've got my MVEs converted except the command briefing cutscene from FS1. It's the only stream i'm still missing.
So... I need the sound of it. Preferrably as a WAV (no quality loss), but you could also use a mp3 or whatever you prefer.
-
I've uploaded a wav extracted from the divx someone did a while ago. It's probably not the best of quality, but if you want it, you can get it here (http://members.optusnet.com.au/spicious/commandbrief.zip)

Wheee--- thanksies :D :D
