Umm... hum. I'm not sure what to say. Looks alright, except perhaps for the giant guns. It looks a lot like an Ursa to me.

smaller guns, touched up nose and stern, smaller on Y and Z axis.
-
I like it except for the square gun barrels. Round them off a little and you'll have quite a nice ship there.
Oh. While you're at it you might want to make it so the back half of the cockpit smoothly joins in with the rest of the ship cause I'm not so keen on the current buble look.
EDIT: I like the thinner version but both were pretty cool.
-
Thanks. I actually agree with you but I was too lazy last night to upgrade the cockpit (which I made from scratch) and the cannon. My goal is to make this as polished as possible, as so far I really like where it is going. New pic in a couple hours.

thats really good. round guns would good. maybe you could liven up the cockpit a bit. I wouls have to play with the model myself to get what I'm thinkin (can't explain it) but with that model you could proble make it look really cool.
in short good job!

ever seen the canopy on an F16 ? Coolest canopy ever.
I think the model would look better with smaller engine pods.
Good nose shape BTW
-
Actually the F16 is closer to what I was on about than this model. The cockpit meets the main body of the ship at a far steeper angle than it does on the F16.
-
The canopy is a bit TOO bubbly. Look at an F-16, and you'll notice it has a dorsal spine running from the rear of the canopy aft to the tail.
And fix the engines. There has to be some continuity between the wings and the engines.
-
The middle part just looks to be too "in the top" compared to the side parts... it's like a medusa with 2 overgrown missile launchers.
If you take the engine/missile launchers parts what remains looks like a cool small fighter.
If you continue to do it the way it is I advise you to rename its class to bomber...
keep up the good work. :)
-
I like the first pic better. It looks like a Medusa Mark II.
-
It's definately a bomber not a fighter. But I kind of like the sleek look. It fits in with the whole Herc/Herc II sleekness.
-
Move the canopy towards the nose (Apollo), and make the main fuselage a bit bulkier. Make the gun/missile pods raise above the fuselage.

I thought you meant Hurrican/ early Mustang stylee.:)

Needs a better cockpit. Show me some three-view pics and a wireframe so we get a better idea of the shape.

What I've got so far:

I like the cockpit now, so at this point I probably wont change it. The gun points could use a little work but I'm okay with them. The engines are my next step. They need to match in better with the rest of the ship.

Edit: Should I get rid of the bottom extensions of the engines to counter balance the missile points and cockpit? I'm thinking yes....
BTW, I intentionally wanted this thing to be rather small, hence the large cockpit. It is meant to have a small secondary loadout and be fairly fast, hence the powerful engines.
-
wow, thats pretty impressive

I've changed my mind. I like it better now. I'm loving the big intake looking areas. Definitely drop the bottom part of the engines though.
