ookay, i'm thinking of trying out Truespace 3 ('cause it's free) and i was
wondering where i could get some easy tutorials to get started with..
particularly in the areas of startrek-style starships..
and yes, i have looked through google..;)
-
Moonman's (http://www.lunadude.com/rsrc_trueSpace.htm) is probably the best place to start. Lots of nice stuff there.
-
agreed
-
Really, you should try max instead.
Really.
-
I have to agree with KT on this one. :shaking:
If you get Max, and it has the tutorials included, you'll find how easy modelling can be. I only use TS for texturing and a few modelling tweaks now.
-
I avoid TS like the plague....
We have this understanding. I hate it, and it's useless....
I stick to Lightwave and MAX (though mostly LW)
I'll be taking some courses at either VFS or CDIS for Maya and XSI.
-
I've used Max and I've used TS, and TS is easier to model in. anyone who disagrees with me is wrong.
-
Well duh, of course TS would be easier with another arm and five more eyes. :blah:
-
TS is so not easier to model in... I'm using Version 6 TS, vs Version 5 Max, and whatever I attempt to do in TS, I can do 30x faster in Max.

Truespace was developed by Hitler while he was in hiding in Argentina under the guise of an independent software designer.
Needless to say, Hitler had very little experience in programming, but a fair surplus of rage and a deep abiding hatred of artists and the like.
Okay, so that's all transparently a lie, but it would explain a lot, wouldn't it?
-
Yes, especially the Hitler part.
-
That's the nice thing about Hitler.
