Title: Need help...please
Post by: jdjtcagle on January 04, 2004, 01:24:53 pm
Ok, This particular "thing" cannot be detected by my spyware or virus protection software. Every time I sign on my favorites gets filled with crap and I cannot get rid of it. I can delete its but within minutes or until the next time I log on its all back.
I beg the ccommunity to give oinions. This is gotten way out hand and been going on almost a year.
thanks :)
OHH... and merry christmas

What spyware software are you using? I reccomend Spybot search and Destroy.

And while you'r at it, turn on the Immunize feature in Spybot, to prevent further crap getting into your system. Its not on by default, you have to switch it on.

Try ad-aware as well. I've heard that they both occasionally miss things that the other one picks up.

No idea. I've never used it myself but I've heard from other people that it's good. I'd start at download.com or tucows if were you.

It did detect alot of stuff but it still came back
but, I think I figured out why.
When I delete it from the recycle bin it automatically goes back to the favorites so is there a certain way to delete it? maybe? or is there something bringing it back that I'm not detecting:)

Thank you all. Boy this feels good!:) YES!!!
I don't know why I didn't think of this before, I put it in a useless folder and changed the URL to this site.
Even though this site is very far from useless!;)
