Title: JFK Assassination Programme
Post by: karajorma on January 08, 2004, 08:37:02 am
I'm posting this mainly to ask a question of the brits on the board.

A couple of months ago BBC2 heavily advertised the fact that they were going to show a program which had a definitive theory about the JFK assassination. I wanted to watch it but unfortunately I missed it.

Did anyone actually see the program? To this day I've not been able to track down anyone who wactually watched it. :nervous:

I think they concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald did it, and that the evidence of a second shooter was wrong - that it was based on the recording (on an open police channel) of a shot taking place at a certain place, and that it didn't actually take place there.  Nothing too shocking.

Blimey. I watched it, half-arsedly. It was nothing special. Most of it seemed to concentrate on Oswald's communist ways.

Seems a little unlikely to me.

They did a rather vicious job on that film too. Not without justification might I add.

It was pretty interesting, if not exactly a revalation. Some guy built a 3D model of the whole thing from film footage, so they had lots of weird angle views of the separate hits. It was pretty convincing, though in my mind I'm still not 100% sure it's accurate. Dunno why...

JFK, I think.  IIRc the programme spent a long time on the impact of JFK on conspiracy theorists, and how a lot of it was pretty much made up or inaccurate to fit the movie story (fit facts to the story, not the story to the facts).

I think an example was saying (in the film) that one bullet could not have passed through the 2 people in the car at the given trajectory - wherease it could of - and did - in real life.

I think it was something to do with the rifle that he allegedly used as well, it was a pump-reloader, there was no way LHO could have got off 2 shots that quickly, and at that range, the bullet would barely have had the power to kill one person, even from a high vantage point, let alone gone through both sides of a human skull, one of the thickest bones in the body, and ricochet into someone else.

Edit : Besides, we all know Martians did it really ;)
