I've missed the last three SG-1s in a row. I need to pull my socks up and sort my self out

Just finshed the opener.  While I was generally pleased with the production, it fell short of awesome.

this wasn't realy a season opener, it was the mid season clifhanger so it would be expected that it falls a bit short

but I have been generaly disapointed with the design of the new solders (what were they called 'kep'?) the hwole black body armor and small white glowing eyes, it's a less origonal step away from the older Jaffa design (visualy speaking). and we all know that by the end of the season we'll be mowing through them  like grass again. I always did find it odd that the goa'uld would leave there military open to simple projectile weapons

Well come on, it's all Anubis' fault. He's Mr Unoriginal, the whole black cloak thing and all, if his evil zombie legions have armor design that isn't asthetically pleasing it's his fault. :)

yes, I was also rather disapointed with Anubis the ubber evil dark cloaked and cliched to the point of eyes bleeding alien warlord. would have rather they brought back Sokar, at least he had an origonal sounding name, in fact, I have, ever sence the introduction of Anubis, thought he was just simply a weak imitation of Sokar, he has almost an exact identical backstory and behavor, if it wasn't for the fact that it would be too convenient I would hope that Anubis was Sokar, but that's been done

Pff. We've already seen Grace. Which kinda sucked. It was too.......sci-fi?

I get the feeling more and more often these days that SG-1 is becoming half-baked - they try to squeeze so much into each episode that you don't really get to enjoy the pace at all. The Season 2-5 episodes were the best IIRC, then stuff started getting hazy. :blah:

Has got a bit overly sci-fi-ish IMO.

We're missing the 'drama' part.

Also didn't think the Atlantis idea was particularly groundbreaking, though I am curious to see what the Wraith are like (and their relation to us/Ancients).
