First, here's another juiced up model from Aldo... the GTD Aegir:

I diverged a bit on the original concept in the tail bit... to make it look less like an Aeolus on steroids ;)
-
And now, the Ragnarok, an 11 km behemoth for Sol... and a Big Ubber weapon on front (specs about this are still classified :D )

The UV mapping on this one isn't finished yet...
Comments below please

OH....MY.....GOD!
Very nice!
What's the P Count on the second one?
-
Love them both :)
-
The Ragnarok is about 6000 polys... but it will have rotating parts inside the "tube", and those will bump the poly count even more...
-
I'm building a ship very similar to the ragnarok -_-
btw they are both really very nice
-
*patiently waits for Woolie to make his comment*
*prepares flamethrower*
Ahhh... yes... Love the retexturing and hte new ship... more quality stuff. MORE! :drevil:

HOLY CRAP! A RAILGUN!
-
It does look like a railgun....:D
-
two hella cool ships there. i cant wait to see a huge beam/something coming from the second.
-
This was the original Aegir model BTW;

Probably about a year old, and i'm intending to replace it with a hi-poly new design (posted an attempt on that make a destroyer thread, incidentally).
Pretty fugly, really. Think Ravens' done a good job sprucing it up - certainly fixes some of the problems with the general weediness of how it looks. ... i may get round to releasing the original pof in the next few days, actually... no reason to keep it.

First one: Great modeling skill although I don't care for the ship itself much.
Second: Beautiful, but I don't agree with the size. :p
-
not saying I don't like them but here's the question :wtf: is that widow looking texture suppose to be. you know the huge gold thing. it looks like a widow when I first saw it on the shipyard station, forget it's name. What!!!What!!!
Sorry bad night
-
sw33t! awesome texutures d00d ;P
-

A window, probably.
-
Without meaning to state the somewhat obvious, they're both awesome.
-
The second one kicks booty...
I'm really liking that people are now starting to make hi-poly ships...
-
...I thouhgt I posted in this thread...
They're nice. But I like the ones you make original better than the retrofitted Aldo meshes.
-
Hehehe... the first one on the first pic reminds me a little on Cardassian ships...
Nice...
-
Both are lovely. Can't wait to see all your work in a released mod!
-
and that was from FF8, make that ship and be a god ;)
HEy Raven, I like your version of the Aegir, it looks more filled out though I don't like the engine arraingement somehow. how about adding one in square formation or just two side by side?
-
I'm loving the Ragnarok. But we never see any of your models in action, Raven. ;)

You will, someday you will. CIM is becoming much more of a reality than it was 2 years ago... I've already assembled a skeleton staff, and an0n is taking care of my hosting in Nodewars... Soon, you may be lucky enough to get a background view of te story and some ingame pics...
Finally, CIM is born!!

You might wanna make an appearance at the CIM forums on NW.
