At Goober's suggestion (and since the last one got hijacked by the "that's not realistic, despite the fact a completely implausible sci-fi game" crew) I've started a new thread about the heat seekers tracking 'invisbile to sensors'-flagged ships. Not stealth ships, I man ships flagged 'invisible' in FRED, ie. the ones which appear as a flsahing faded blob on your radar.
Don't start an argument. Don't try to tell me it could never happen in real life. I need this feature for Reci and I have a good reason for it. Just vote. I know where you live.

Indeed, an elite strike team from the Greasy Weasels has been prepped and is ready for immediate launch.
Well, after their lunch break.

What?!
i'm seriously considering using the Greasy Weasel squad logo (once done) are the Reci avatar, BTW. Trick is convincing the admin to allow a bigger avatar...........;)

The reason I say make it an option is that there might be specific circumstances in which you would not want to be able to shoot guided missiles at an invisible-to-sensors object. I can think of a couple of examples, though there's no need to list them in any detail here (sensor echo ships, for example, not really "there" so to speak, but still in mission) but I think it should be on by default.

how about an additional "no-heat-tracking" flag in the misc settings of a ship?
