Title: resolution on fs2 open source higher than 1024 x 768 ?
Post by: xenobyte6666 on January 19, 2004, 05:11:36 pm
hi

i just bought myself a 17inch iiyama dvi tft, and a geforce fx5900
i was wondering if there is anyway of making fs2 open source run in a higher res than 1024 x 768, cos the launcher wont let me choose anything higher than that?

any suggestions ?

thanks

Hmmmm... Well, there is a 'Use non-standard modes' option in the Launcher that will let you do this, but it is not 100% reliable IIRC and remember, no matter how high the resolution, you won't get any more detail than the 1024x768, it will just enlarge textures to compensate.

ehm, no, it will enlarge interface art, rendered stuff will be made sharper.

yes, this can be done.
no I don't remember exactly how it was implemented, someone else should see this and reply soon enough though.

and you should have got a Radeon :p
