Title: Necssary VP files.
Post by: cyavhn on January 19, 2004, 07:42:28 pm
I`ve installed the mediaVP 3.5.6c. I took out the 3.5.5 VP as that seemed to be an ok  from the readme. Is it? Also I cannot get either of the _r type .exes to work. I`m using fs2_open_3_5.exe...

well it`s gotta be right `cause the _r type exe now works and the command line errors are all gone...

If you rename them to come alphabetically after the 356c vp then the game will load the stuff in the 356c vp first. That gives you exactly the same effect as not having the earlier ones :D

Unless you get the upgrade, in which case you have to do that. Otherwise, if two files with the same name exist, the older one will probably get loaded.

If you don't get the upgrade, it's probably a good idea to delete the older VP after you make sure you aren't having any new problems. You should move it out of the FS2 folder, though, or else you'll have the same problem. Hmm, I think I forgot to put that in the readme...
