Which means, I get 1 Mbit/s download and 512kbit/s upload speeds starting february.

For $20.

Post by: redsniper on January 22, 2004, 09:10:19 pm: well, we used to have 56k (which ran more like 24k cuz of crappy phone lines) but now we have satellite. Its about 300-500kb/s download and really slow upload. With a lag. for "very expensive" every month, and there's no alternative where I live.

I have roughly the same...I think either I have a good ISP, or the takeup's slow here because the exchange has only been enabled since about November.

Nice to be able to play CoD on sub-40 ping, though :D

That's about normal for a 56k. Anyone here able to explain my 21 KB/s download speed on a 56k, though?

I got pings between 30/40ms when playing Halo on gamespy but then i played on one of there servers.

Got abit higher ping on servers created by people also no slowdowns there.
