Title: Freespace 2 + Patch server down?

I just reinstalled FS2, but it seems that the patch server is down. Anybody else getting this?

Down it is. But how come you don't have the patch in HDD?

Umm...it was working for the last 5 years, so I was assuming it wasn't gonna stop suddenly, without any warning.

And odysses's link is really a MS speach SDK.

As far as I can tell, Odyssey's link really is the patch.  Unless it spits out the MS Speach SDK as "Freespace2.exe" that is.  I open it and it says "Freespace2 1.20 update, copyright 1999 Volition" or something to that effect.

Yep, it does. Try hitting "Setup". It'll come up with an SDK installation.

I have it burnt to several CDs. :p

I just checked my own link - FP's working fine, though if you want to use them you'll want to wait till later. ;)

It gave me the 1.20 patch UT, I don't know why it doesn't do the same for you.   (And yes, I did hit "Setup".  It went through just as it should have.)

I used the patch server on a couple of weeks back. It worked fine. Maybe you just caught it on an off day UT.
