Title: Bug 35: sesquipedalian, text and multi frame ani's being rendered offset.
Post by: RandomTiger on January 24, 2004, 11:59:02 am
Quote

Every multi-frame ani file and all text looks like it is being drawn where it
should be, but then drawn again on top offset one pixel right and one pixel
down from its proper origin. This happens in the main hall, briefing room, in
the simulator, everywhere.

Does this happen when the Launcher:Video setting 'Fix Geforce Font Problem' is on *and* off?

i got this problem with hud graphics, particularly the shield icon, which often draws half off the screen. i will go test it for you.

its most likely my mod. alot of my models were compiled with older pof tools, im just too lazy to update them.

Sounds like it might be worth doing it properly.

Also you should check your missions dont have any bugs by loading it into a debug version of Fred or the OGL version of Fred and it will list any minor bugs that might be causing problems.

most of my missions are very simple, most of them dont even have sexps set up in the events menu.

the problem is i have close to 20 ships, plus many other models for weapons and whatnot. most of them lack lods and dibris (in fact only my first 2 ships, chaos1 and seker, have anything resembling lods and dibris, and they got the most bugs). i had the mod up for download, but angelfire keeps deleting it from my webspace, i have sence lost the official nukemod vp file. i have all the original cob and scn files, as well as my data dir.

i finally got around to adding 32 bit textures and effects, as well as glow and shine maps. i have alot of interface art to do. recompiling models is the last thing im conerned with. to make matters worse i just finished modelling 2 more ships. i will get around to debuging models in about 10 years

I get this effect too if the fix font problem setting is off, but not otherwise.

By the way, what's up with Mantis? I found a potentially major bug but cannot load up the page at all.

Oh that old bug.  The GeForce font fix took care of that.  I hadn't thought of using it at first since it happened on a TNT2, but when I remembered that it's all nvidia, I tried it and it worked.  Mark the bug as dead.

i wish to noe that i need the GF font fix also, i used to have a TNT2, but since yesterday it is a Radeon 7000, and i am sure i killed the nVidia drivers.

this isn't a true nVidia only thing.
