Title: Problem with the new FRED build
Post by: Black Wolf on January 25, 2004, 12:16:44 am
Specifically, the 01_20_2004 build. 'Twont open. I get the process in task manager, but not the application, so I can't see/use it.

Anyone else getting this?

Works fine for me, but it doesn't seem to be any different than the last one. (e.g. Goober said on Mantis that the hull repair cap issue was fixed but it's still in this, and the filesize is exactly the same)

Apparently the sexp node cap is higher, which is why I want it.

iirc Icefire reported this in the OGL build thread.

Are you talking about an OGL build?

I'm talking about "01_20_2004_fred2_open_r.exe" - whether it's OGL or not I don;t know, as I can;t get into it.

Hit Alt+Tab, it may well still switch to the program, I used to have to do this on an older build of Fred2, but always assumed it was my system, so didn't report it.

No good - it doesn't show up in the Alt tab menu

What about the OGL version?
Its just about fully working now.

The hull repair cap isn't fixed - just the part that crashes.  The only difference in this build of FRED is the sexp node count.

It works for me.  Try rebooting the computer, etc.
