Title: Subspace RAY (graphics issue)

RT's latest exe, a '_r' build, p3 866, 256MB RAM, Ti 4600, Win XP
I noticed this playing Homesick and it happens with or without the .vp. In this test mission there's a Sath ~4 km in front of me but obviously it doesn't show up. If I target it and start moving the subspace pof sort of slides away and the backgroung is just black. If I stop targeting it looks like this again.

Could you make that a jpg please, we dont all have cable you know. Also could you report this bug using mantis.

I have cable and it's still takeing forever

Sounds like the "background POF centered around targeted object" issue, though I thought this had been fixed.

I reported this a while back and was told it was to do with the skybox code.

This is from Phreak's build. The background no longer slides off when I target something. As you can see I'm colliding with the Sath and it can't be seen even though it's targeted.

it also needs to have alpha blending applied and the z-buffer turned off

Its a known problem with skyboxes and subspace in HT&L. Still waiting for this to be fixed :)

The skyboxes center on the targetted ship, and the subspace thing has the weird ray effect and is rendered on top of everything (making you blind).
