I had trouble getting information on weapon locations on this ship. If anyone could give me some pointers or refer some sites to go to, I would be grateful.
The mission requires the Peregrine and the Galaxy. This includes the latest TBL files.

*sniff*
She's a beauty, that's for sure. :)
Gonna add her to the mission i was making - thank you omniscaper! :D

very good model:yes:
and for weaps. I can't remenber site name :doubt: but there was one who describe weapons locations.

omniscaper: try asking over at Bravofleet (http://www.bravofleet.info/bfforums/index.php). They've got dozens of modellers and graphics artists that may be able to help with good meshes and textures. They also have good sources for canon info (especially for the Klingons). Try looking for a lady called Sakura - she's the Graphics goddess over there :)
See if you cant spot me over there and i'll try to help as much as possible :)
-
Woah. :eek2:
-
Awesome job, dude. Let me work up a highlight for you. ;)
-
Highlight? Whats that for? It sounds cool, thanks.
Just to remind everyone, so far, none of these Trek models were made from scratch by myself. All these models I give credit to its creators. I am just a transplant artist with a bad case of obsessive cumpulsive disorder. =)

Check the top of the main forum page. 4 pictures of the most noteworthy threads.

Similiar to the Marauder cruiser from Star Wars. It really is a good one
-
just tested in-game...........this ship is waaaay too under-armed. the FoV of the turrets need to be increased at least, to compensate for such poor weaponry - it hardly fires at all!!
-
Waaaaaaaaaaay, waaaaaaaaaaay too under-armed....
We're takling about a Klingon Warship (and a tough one!)

If someone could point me to a site that has details on armament placement on the Vorcha, I'm all ears. I was analyzing the textures and put turrets where a phaser bank appears to exist. I'm trying to stay as canon as possible. Every episode I've seen with the Vorcha always has only its forward disruptors firing.
In the mission I provided with the Vorcha, it does seem under armed, probably because of the Galxy Class's OVER armed state. I actually gave this issue some serious thought. If you look at the amount of damage its forward turrets give the Galaxy, its nearly double that of the Galaxy's phasers. But with the Galaxy's 22 saucer turrets, I think problem is with the Galaxy. I'm in the process of eliminating a good number of it's saucer banks.
To avoid the multiple phaser fire, I am trying to give each saucer arc only 1 turret each with multiple firing points (5 each arc). The problem with that is the normals have to be the same for each firing point. The ship could end up firing through itself, and reducing its FOV will also limit the saucer's ability to fire in all directions.

This is true actually. Everything I've tried to pit against the galaxy has just about died........
I'm trying to tbl a new disruptor for the Vorcha - something which is pulse-like that we see in the movies. I'll tell of you my result when I get some.
Just to confirm tho - Turret #1 is the forward turret?
-
just wanted to ask any .tbl gurus out there - what's the differencebetween the standard 'capital' ship AI and the 'corvette' ai?
-
www.ditl.org
Very good site for every Star Trek ship out there.
-
after nearly 3 hours of modifying, I think I have a .tbl that is good enough for the Vorcha. It's reduced the relative strength of the ship quite a bit, since I found that 2 Vorchas were capable of taking out a Galaxy TOO easily. Now, the galaxy takes out 1 vorcha and then ends up circling the other........
not too sure if it is allright with you to modify the tables tho Omniscaper - so i'll put it up and then send you hte link via PM.
*goes off to play Halo*

ack - help!
