Okay, listen up. Since we moved to Styxx's awesome new HLP 2.0 system, we've had to have all the stuff on the dynamic server, which left the 3dap.com/hlp domain with the mere duty of pointing to the new site. The question has been raised of whether we want to keep the present arrangement (front page banner, click through to site) or if we want to change to something else (redirect, frames, whatever). I'm interested in seeing what you folk think. What do you think we should do with "3dap.com/hlp"?
Don't forget to think about your vote. If your gut reaction is "banner intros evil", then that's valid, but Sandwich has raised a valid reason against that too: "I can easily picture a situation where a potential visitor to the site would get tired of waiting for the seemingly dead site and give up. And while I don't think for a moment that this is the original purpose, the entry page sort of indicates that yes, there is a site here." So do think about it. :)
Oh, by the way, if one option comes out numerically superior to other two, we won't necessarily choose that - it'll just inform our decision. ;)
Personally, I say stick with the current way, though maybe shrink the banner and increase its compression - 63k is a little excessive for me. Your turn.
