Title: XML thingy's on the windows XP desktop
Post by: kasperl on February 03, 2004, 09:48:00 am
i know there was some trick to have websites, and other stuff like your local files appear on your desktop in iFrame like things. now, i want to do some stuff with that, and i lost all the links to tutorials, and i can't find what i'm looking for on google either.

what i need is a fairly simple tutorial to do this without any external programs.

has anyone got something ready off-hand?

24 views, and no reply's.

at least say "i don't know" if you haven't got a clue.

anyway, i found some stuff out myself, i just can't seem to make a piece of HTML/CSS to open up a webpage on my desktop. localfiles work, but http links give me either a blank page (when pointing to it's own frame) or a popup in a new IE window (when pointing to another frame).
