Title: Selling some comp parts
Post by: HotSnoJ on February 05, 2004, 07:51:02 am
My computer decided to start acting up and "die". I believe the problem lies with the gfx card since there is some corrosion on the capitors. I've read that if you can replace them, there's a possiblility, it's as good as new.

If you are wondering why I'm selling all of these things, it's because I'm also gonna upgrade my box as well.

nVidia GeForce3 64MB DDR-RAM (http://nvidia.com/page/geforce3.html):
I haven't seen any of these go for less then $300!! This is not one of those cheap Ti200's or Ti500's.

AMD Athlon XP +2200 rated at 1.8GHz (http://www.tcwo.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_prod.html?p_prodid=2471):
Nothing to complain about this baby. Purred like a cat. Also, since I'm getting a new CPU that this doesn't support, I'll throw in the fan free.

Biostar M7VIT Pro (http://www.biostar.com.tw/products/mainboard/board.php3?name=M7VIT%20Pro):
Great mobo (motherboard), but I feel it's time to move on to a mobo that has dual-channel DDR.

I wanna be frank with the person who buys this stuff. I don't know for sure what the actual status of the parts are. I assume it's the gfx card since it has the corrosion on it, but I could be wrong. Feel free to ask any questions, I may not be able to answer them, but feel free anyway.

I'm also gonna include a free stick of RAM!!! I don't know exactly what it is and I haven't used it, but you can have it for free. (It was from a friend who didn't want it anymore)

All of this can be your's for the ridiculous price of $80 + S+H or best decent offer + S+H.

Well the thing is I got it for about $130. So when I was looking for a replacement I was supprised that I could only find them for more then twice what I paid for.

This must be the same phenomenon that makes most HLPites think FS2 sells for a hundred dollars these days

Well that has actually been observed on ebay; basically, the complete game (box, manual, reference card, CD case and non-scratched CDs, all in reasonably good condition) sold for anywhere between $53 and $202, at least before Interplay recently re-released it.

More like under Halo for the past few months. And I haven't ever needed to use pricewatch.com either.
