Title: Freespace 2 problem
Post by: Shrike on February 08, 2004, 06:13:57 am
A friend of mine has recently installed FS2 and during the first campaign mission things apparently went at super-speed without him touching the time compression, finishing the mission in 2-3 minutes.  Has anyone ran into this problem before?

Yeah, I've had that problem before, where a mission just goes very rapidly. I can't remember the circumstances though, sorry. I haven't had it happen in a while. I'm not sure if it was because I alt-tabbed, or hit the start menu button by accident. I can't remember exactly.

But it always worked if I just quit the mission and restarted FS2.

Cheers!

Haven't seen that bug in a long time, but it has happened to me.

I think it's something to do with a game that was optimised to run on a mega-powerful system, a system which today couldn't run a lot of games on the market.

Hope this doesn't mean we'll soon need to use slomo or something like it.  ;)
