Title: If IT were to come out...

Dont flame me im just curious as to what you all would expect the modern day changes to be if IT did hypothetically come out.

I would expect much better space environment graphics, dynamic campaignS, more take offs from the capships, a light at the end of the subspace tunnel ie, be able to dock at your ship after the mission is done, better weapons, better capships, bigger beams, and answers to all our questions.

I know its impossible but im a dreamer...

1. Multiplayer like Allegiance
2. Control of capships like the Battlecruiser series.
3. Have the intense combat the previous versions of IT are renown for.

Damn, I may as well just keep on dreaming.... :)

if IT were coming out...

1.) SCP or better-than SCP style graphics
2.) Something to do with that Project Ferrium that the SCP guys were working on!
3.) SOME support for older PCs...
4.) Story....some answers would be nice, but if even more questions are raised along with the answers (or due to them) then its good too!!
5.) BETTER AI!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!! BETTER AI!!
6.) there sure as hell better be some really Jolly Bright Beams
7.) Importing models directly from 3dsMax or other 3d modelling programs
8.) Being able to dock (one of the good aspects of I-war 1 and 2)
9.) landing on capships and stations (a good aspect from Tachyon)
10.) Better Flak sounds (but i had cereals already mom!)
11.) Bigger, badder, meaner and generally cooler looking super-capships (not that idiotic Colossus [yes, i now consider it stupid-looking])
12.) Shivans....Freespace DEMANDS shivans, and LOTS of them!!

I would also like to see some more stoyr immersion in IT than the previous FS titles.... I want to feel a bit more like someone who would make a difference, same goes for the wingmen, I would like them to be something other than just cannon fodder...

Speaking of Allegiance, they too now have the source code, thanks to Microsoft. Wow, did I just say thanks *shudder*? http://research.microsoft.com/research/allegiance/

www.freeallegiance.org will no doubt have a similar upgrade going to what FS2 has... I would wonder if FS2 could be ported over to that engine, somehow or vice versa... :)
