Title: Moving Day

I'm moving to Newcastle this Sunday. For those who don't know, (probably many) I live in Sydney, and Newcastle is a two hour drive north. I'm moving cos I'm doing a Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Newcastle. So that's a good thing, I suppose...

Except I'm actually really fully freaked out... I'm moving in less than a week! I have to live by myself! I have to become self-sufficient and stop leeching off my parents! How am I going to survive?!!!

So... anyone got some words of comfort for me?

Remember to lift with the legs not the back :)

I've never really understood how to do that. I mean, my legs bend at the knees, and they go in front, except whatever I lift tends to go in front as well, so the lifting thing and my knees have some serious arguments about space...

Your knees can bend at the sides too, you know. ;)

I move to Perth (1 hour away from home) in...9 days. I'm...bloody stressed, though I do get to keep leeching off my parents for accommodation (106 a week) for a year anyway.

Words of comfort? Hmmm... how about...

"A low paid job in an underfunded  public hospital with (presumably) some fairly hefty HECS debts are only 8 years away!"
