Have been getting loads of dodgy mail offering a share of someone's fortune if I allow them to put money in my account(s).

The latest mail says I have been selected because "my name and country are similar to the deceased"

So I get 1/4 of $20million because of my name and country !!??
Do they really think I'm gonna buy that ?

Oh,and I'm listed as a reputable company too.;7

:) Aha. The Nigerian 419 scam :) It's amazing how many people fall for it.

I just delete all that spam without even opening it...

The nigerian 419 scam is what that letter begins. You may think that it's an attempt to get hold of your bank details but the con goes deeper than that.

They spend weeks or even months befreinding the victim and then tell them that there has been a hitch and they can't get the money out without several thousand pounds to cover bribes etc.

Of course the money and the scammers are never seen again.

(That's what happens in the nice version. Apparently several people have been lured out to Nigeria and then kidnapped and ransomed).

Can't any of these people spell?  Thats my question....the grammar and spelling errors are giant...do people just not notice?
