Title: Seeking Help for FS Models

Hey.  I am asking if anyone is willing to extract a couple of models from FS1/2 to help with the creation of a paper model.  

There is a site out there, created by Enterprise-E, dedicated to hosting and creating paper models of starships from various games.  It was initially created for hosting paper starships from the 1999 Game of the Year Homeworld (shameless plug) but has expanded (and will jhopefully keep expanding) to other gameing universes.  The link to Paper Starships is http://paperstarships.tengun.net/

A few days ago, I asked on the forums (http://ehacetfl.proboards21.com/index.cgi?board=iwantthisship&action=display&num=1076384451) if they could create my favorite ships from the games, the Fenris and Hercules.  As you can see, they asked for the model files and textures so that they could design and build them.  

This is where I come to you guys for help.  I have no skill at all in FS  Modding, and I would personally be very grateful indeed if someone where to help them with their request.  I also thought I'd let you guys know of this opertunity, as I'm sure Enterprise-E and EH_Ace_TFL (the main model designers) would be glad to add the Freespace community into their ranks.  Feel free to make your own requests via the forums.

If I remember right, it's .cob...although all they really need is a model, as they have the conversion tools themselves.

Jal. You don't need a huge amount of modding knowledge to do the conversions yourself. Extract the .pof with VPView (full guide in my FAQ) or even modelview (just click on the pof edit button and it will ask you where you want to save the model) and then use PCS to convert from pof to cob.

It wouldn't take you longer than a couple of minutes to do :)
