So, I have 2 cards and was thinking which one would be better for FS2Open..
First... Voodoo 3000 32mb
Second... Radeon 7500 64mb
So, what do any of the SCP people think?
-
Although neither would be too good, I'd say the 7500 would be better.
It has more memory and supports at least a little HT&L while the V3 doesn't at all.
Also, I've heard the voodoo support is broken right now (although if you use an unofficial D3D driver it could work)

we ripped out Glide anyways. Radeon

You know Bob, you spell better in 1337 than you do in english :)
-
and its more readable :wtf:
-
maybe I should do all my comunication via 1337
-
i'd go crazier
derailed again. but then again, the thread has served a purpose
-
voodoos dont like SCP. They never did. On Voodoo 3 3000's you could not get SCP working properly even before support for them was dropped.
so.. :p
-
Take your Voodoo and burn it. It's not the standard anymore, and only works right with Glide. In my experience, anyways.
-
Voodoo is probably the best card for its time, performance wise.
But when it comes to modern applications, nothing is less flexible and more likely not to work than a voodoo card. :)
-
Indeed.

in it's day 3dfx OWNZORED j00
but not anymore

Yeah the voodoo has met its prime, I guess.. It was the craze when this pc was new though.. :D
