Title: FRED Capship jump question
Post by: Zarax on February 16, 2004, 03:37:26 pm
Is it possible to not have capships jumping in at hyperspeed?
They tends to stop at least 2 kilometers ahead from the planned point, and screws out mission planning...
Any help is welcome.

Nope. There are lists stating the distance a ship travels when it enters normal space though. Can never remember where they are though or who did 'em though.

Trying not to state the obvious here but why not just move them back 2km then? ;)

Because each capship is different in it...
The big C for example jumps at least a dozen km ahead...

Then move the jump point further back :)

The thing is that people expect the Colossus and other big capships to require a large distance to stop. If you made it so they stopped on a dime you'd need a good explaination for why.
