A friend of mine just installed my copy of FS2 and wants to know if people still play it over the net? If so, where?
-
nope it just doesnt happen anymore. This game is no longer important to most people, thats why there is more activity in a graveyard than PXO.
Oh... and btw noise, you seriously screwed up my Rear Admiral guy when i played your campaign. Something was messed up with the 3rd or 4th mission on the second phase. I miss my Rear Admiral but my Commodore is catching up.

Heheh, backup your pilot every time you start a new campaign. But too late for that now, unless you want to hack your player file. ;)

The reason it got messed up was because i blew up a ship type of his that wasnt complete and on the record so when i went back to the barracks, the game would crash. Now i select him from the menu and the game crashes. But oh well, live and learn. :sigh:

I don't know what Deepspace is talking about, but people do still play. Not many, mind you, but enough to get a few games of Rebel Intercept going. :p
I go on from time to time, which is almost never now that I'm way too busy to actually play anything. But anyway, yeah, a few people still play the game, you just have to be on at the right time.
-
What are the peak times, anyway?
-
it kinda at a steady low all the time, but at around 8pm gmt to 1amish (at least it used to be) there would be more than one game going :p
-
Saturdays and Sundays are when most people are on. Although a lot of them don't even KNOW about HLP!

Add another couple of ships to your ships.tbl (probably before the volition bravoes) and it should work again.

http://www.teamwars.com might be of interest :)
Actually you can still find 10+ people games on PXO, if you drop in at the right time.

I was exaggerating DragonClaw, but yes there are always 3 or 4 games "there" but passworded :p
Most i ever saw on were 12... now thats a crowd.
