Title: Although Intel using AMD's technology is the big news today....
Post by: Grey Wolf on February 17, 2004, 07:05:35 pm
I find the fact that future chipsets made by VIA, including the South Bridges used for their AMD chipsets, will be using Intel's Azalia sound chip rather interesting. Endian (http://endian.net/details.asp?tag=viavt8251) mentions it, as does X-Bit Labs (http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/chipsets/display/20040201182440.html). Not that it's that significant, but I figured that it warranted mention that there'll be more than one set of chipsets for AMD processors with decent onboard sound.
