There goes another series I was enjoying, five years is a good run though. Dont TV execs have better things to do than run around with axes? I guess they figured out they could run 10 reality TV shows for the same cost.

Damn it.

Angel was the only show that made me watch TV, aside from Buffy and Charmed. Charmed is gone from Dutch TV thanks to some network's desicion, and i've seen all but one of the Buffy seasons, and i think i've seen most Angel stuff too.

I wasnt very interested in it to begin with, looked like just a copy of buffy with a male lead. But I caught episodes here and there and they were actually really cool. A lot darker than buffy.

The last season was surprisingly better than any buffy season.
Theres some half matrix style stuff that really set it apart from anything you might see in the series that it spawned from.

Having said that, the last one I saw wasnt that good, thought it was just a one off. Perhaps not.

Although, I admit I stopped watching after the whole Angel's son and Cordellia being some weird possesed thing then dying thing.. although buying Wolfram and Heart was interesting.

I think the "Quit while you're ahead" rule goes here. They want togo out in a good place than a bad one. They'll sell season by season DVD's like hotcakes for it.

Post by: Bobboau on February 18, 2004, 08:52:15 pm: that would be the first time a braudcast company used that rule, ususaly they just pound stuff into the ground untill it becomes unwatchable.

more likely they followed the, it's a great show, but were only getting 14.7% market share in the 13-15 target audience when we were hopeing for a 14.75%. so let's cancel it in favor of a reality show.

Post by: J3Vr6 on February 19, 2004, 08:14:35 am: Ok, I saw the show yesterday... puppets fighting puppets... that's just... sad. Oh, and a werewolf is in love with Angel and almost tears him apart when he's a puppet...

And people wonder why this show is getting cancelled...
