got damn man, use your internet!
get the eppisodes!

and you know they wouldn't do that, havn't you ever had a show that had a 'and one of these people will die' line to it, it's allways the most minor charicter, the thing I loved is how it was implemented, (you should know by now that spoilers are coming) you were totaly expecting O'neil, even though I knew they wouldn't do it, they realy had me thinking it was, and then... and the way everyone was acting, it was all just so real.

What?

Which episode are you babbling about?

C'z if it's Heroes, that was a 2-parter.

I was talking about just the second half, the first half sucked, maybe that contrast is what made it seem so good

and 15 minutes

the way that shot just comes out of no were, and you'r totaly unprepared for it, and how it smashed that cocky 'we go in and do imposable things and never realy have to worry about getting killed' thing. just nice to see a good dramatic eppisode after so long of goofy humorist eppisodes

Post by: Liberator on February 20, 2004, 11:36:00 pm
Well, given the audience, it's surprising they ever do anything remotely like that.

R.I.P. Dr. Frasier, you will be missed.

No, it's not true. Thor has failed on numerous occasions when O'Neill has succeeded. :D

Man, I'll miss Dr. Fraiser. She was a great character. :(

I'm surprised you only got that one on recently...that was on a few weeks ago over 'ere (on sky), I though the US would get stuff first.

Albeit I knew it would be Frasier as soon as the first part was completed... nice battle at the start, though.

Like Babylon 5 on Channel 4 and farscape on BBC2 the US starts off way ahead of us but their stupid habit of taking their shows off air for weeks at a time means that they sometimes fall behind and give the UK a chance to catch up and then pass them.

Funnily enough, the only person ever to model useable Death-Glider and Beliskner models was a guy named Ed Giddings who goes by the nick Thor.

He hangs around at 3dGladiators.com but he doesn't give out his models to anyone.

With Frasier gone I have now realized that the series finale is not that far away... :sigh: :mad2:

After Heroes everything seems boring... but Resurrection was a bit dull for a SG1 episode... :sigh:

It seemed a little.....CSI to me.

But Lost City looks to be pretty good.

And I'm a sucker for a good clip-show so Inauguration should be pretty decent.

Damn work.  I missed one of my favorite characters die.  This sucks fat donkey nut.  Well, with the Doc dead, its only a matter of time until Hammond kicks it.

Here's a question, just what the hell is (instert actress' name here) going to do now?  Shanks didnt do a damn thing while he was on his break...

Beg to differ, he play a the psychotic, 300-year old android founder of the Restorian Movement in Andromeda.  Chris Judge has be in it also, as the AI and the Avatar of the Wrath of Achilles.

Yeah and while filming Andromeda, Shanks fell in love with, ****ed, then married Lexa Doig who plays Rommie/Andromeda.

And a film.  It was due to end, I think, after series 6 for a movie conclusion, but they decided to carry on and postpone the film.  Makes more sesne, I reckon - not sure how well an Sg-1 film would actually do at the box-office.

another movie! cool! as i remember, the original stargate did pretty good at the box office. i think the role jack oneil was played by kurt russel. personally i think richard dean anderson makes a better o'neil. how many of you know that oneil used to be macgyver.

Kurt Russel actually turned down the lead role for the TV series.  I'm not sure whether they offered the Jackson role to James Spader, tho.

'tis a very strange thing to watch the film after watching the TV series.........

Okay, say what you will about Shanks, he's a better Daniel than Spader.  Same goes for RDA and Jack vs. Kurt Russell.
Title: Sg1
Post by: Grey Wolf on February 22, 2004, 06:52:06 pm
The thing about RDA being Jack is I always seem to be waiting him to pull a MacGyver at some point during the episode, but it never seems to happen....

That's because he's not MacGyver, he a career military with the rank of Colonel.  MacGyver hated guns.

Or the ( more logical ) other way around...

I liked Russel as O'Neil. Don't care about Spader/Shanks, whatever the actor, I don't like the Jackson character.

On a side note: damn kazaa, getting the first season is a royal pain.

I love the cast; Christopher Judge has gotta be my favourite. Of all the characters, he makes me laugh the most. :p

Which is surprising since he and T'ealc  had to learn all kinds of complex science when they were trapped in that time-loop.  He should have been able to at least keep up with Sam on some of the simper stuff after that.

dont use kazaa, it will F|_|ck up your machine. load it with spyware and let in a great many viruses. switch to gnucleus, it runs gnutella protocal (used by 99% of all file sharing services), is open source, has no ads, and it automatically filters out ip adresses of servers owned by companies who like to press charges.

ah, paranoia.
I've been using kazaa for 3 years, it never messed up my PC, and there's marvelous thgings like Adaware to get rid of the spyware. I'm using kazaa light right now.
