Post by: Lightspeed on February 25, 2004, 10:30:44 am: Well, some people of my class (not me, I hate sports) went skiing in the holidays (organzied thing from school), lets say it ... err... didn't go as it was planned :shaking: :

On the way there, the bus had an engine malfunction and burnt out completely. Luckily they could all get out before, so nobody's hurt.

Quite a shock, though, and the event is cancelled.

Post by: Lightspeed on February 25, 2004, 10:36:49 am: Yeah, luckily the damage was noticeable before, as the front door opened when it shoudnt, the back door didnt open anymore, and there was smoke coming out of the engines. :)

and i bet ever religious person on that bus are thinking that it was an act of their god that they got out, and not a simpe matter of the driver being able to tell the engine was going to go and be dangerous

Now why'd they do that? Look, all the stuff was off the bus, everyone is alright, they just need another bus and off they go. Sure, they'll lose a few hours (or a day, depending) of the trip, but they could of still gone.

told ye I wasnt going with them. :)
I was sitting here at home, since I detest sports of any kind (thus including skiing and crap like that).

Reason why they didnt move the luggage further away: Nobody expected it to burn away like this... When the luggage was taken out it there still wasn't open fire (there was only lots of smoke) - Then the rear panel of the bus fell off and the thing started burning merrily.
