paint it red and black and it would look shivan

his x-prize entry:

i think he's got the prize in the bag

You'd be suprised.

indeed.

You should have image edited that and taken out the wires, would have made the image so much more exciting.
Mouse traps are lethal, last time my parents used them, blood went all over the floor because it hit a mouse in the eye or something like that. Instakill!
-
The wires are meant to be a parody of Mission: Impossible, aren't they? :p
Yeah, we used to have mouse traps too. But our mice were too clever, they nicked off with the food and left the traps untouched. :nervous:

thats why you poison the food.

Our rat did that, the little bugger. We were beginning to suspect it was smarter than us tjill it turned up drowned in the bog on morning.
And to get back on topic, yes - Burt Rutan is a certified genius. I wonder if I can put money on him winning the prize...
-
what you don't realise, is that the rat faked its death with stickyback plastic, 2 buttons and a loafer.
-
Well is was wearing a green beret, after all...
-
as far as i know, no one else is flight testing their vehicles yet. burt has already brokem past mach with his ship. he could claim in now if he wanted too, but i think hes playing it safe.

[color=66ff00]Do you know what I find utterly brilliant; the fact that Arthur C. Clarke came up with an immensly similar concept for a reusable space vechile decades ago. Unfortunately NASA isn't as smart as everyone thinks they are and they went with the more costly space shuttle + launch system that is used today.

-
They ought to sell the shuttles to raise a bit of cash when they're done with them. There'll be some bajilionaire out there who'll gladly pay to have a gen-you-wine space shuttle in his front garden

Probably hunting that M:I mouse :p

Right... Don't ask...
-
What a load of bull
*gets coat*
-
nasa spends way to much money and they worry too much about safety. if somone asked me to go for a ride in their space ship, then told me there was a 1 in 5 chance id get killed if i did, i would still say yes.

ah, come on, how can you not like this marvel:
honestly, it owns :p ( w33333, I'm on a "post funny internet pics" spree :p )
-
Now that one owns the mouse pic
[EDIT] While we're at it:

You want to talk about XPrize you're guy is getting trouted - the only X Prize contender with a suborbital launch license is XCor Aerospace with their Xerus suborbital vehicle
http://www.xcor.com/
http://www.xcor.com/gallery/xerus
the Xerus looks much more likely than Rutan's SpaceShipOne to be feasable
-
a license is a far cry from a space ship. rutans ship is much lighter from extensive use of composite material and the hybrid rocket engine he is using has already pushed his vehicle to 1.5 mach on a 15 second burn, i find that rather impressive.
-
From what I know, the Nazis were developing a concept for a space shuttle way back during WW2. The ship looks amazingly similar to the space shuttle of today..
-
Nuke: To get a license you must have the craft
-
Not seen or heard one thing from that lot before, Kaz Their website says they've fired a whole lot of rockets, but don't detail any test flights comparable to Burt's stuff. 'Less they're keeping them all secret...

That looks like a rip off of the old Hermes design ( the wings and stuff ).
