Hmmn I could get monkeyed or banned for such an ungodly bump. But I don't see the need to start a new thread.



So, question is does anyone know who made this ship? I'm thinking about using it and would like to give credit where credit is due. c940 or whatever uploaded it to FSMods but he doesn't know either. Apparently it was first found on the Hades Combine. The zip file does not contain any author information.

In PCS2, from the texture names, remove the A letters at the endings, and then resave the POF. It'd use mediavp textures then.

And yes, I know that the current topic is different.

No, c914 made these models himself for his own amusements. I remember there were a bunch more. His aesthetic style - as far as his ships go - is pretty close to the Iceni.

Well I dunno, if you look at freespacemods it says

Author: c914

Then Comments:
"    The GTCv Reyena model taken from Hades Combine some time ago. I cant recall who made it, but props to 'em. Screen-shots have editing to the windows, but they were changed back for the upload."



Author usually means uploader so if c914 uploaded it and says he doesn't know who made it usually that means it wasn't him.
I could just give him credit instead since it seems no one's old enough to know who made the thing.

The comment was done by whoever uploaded it  (now unknown), and then the Author field was chanegd post-upload to c914 because they knew who it was made by (probably said "change the reyena's author to c914" in the shoutbox or something). This is known to happen on FSMods. Therefore, your point is moot.

Also, if you look at the first post of this thread. LO AND BEHOLD, c914. Hmmmm...guess who made it? I wonder?

Oh I wasn't aware that they did that on FSMods. That's rather confusing. Because I know I've uploaded stuff that wasn't mine and I'm quoted as the author rather than simply the guy who added the thing.

Yeah, it's because of the fact that the Author field is automatically done as whoever uploaded it that an administrator has to change it to whoever actually made it.
