Ok, I looked around in a couple of FAQ's, but didn't find much, so I'm just wondering if that message when I play Multiplayer of "One or more players has hacked data files" is really anything to worry about and, if not, is there a way I can turn it off? It gets annoying after a while.
I only got it after putting the FsPort on my computer, btw.

Basically it's cause you have hacked date files :D
The port uses its own sets of table files. While that's great when it comes to playing the port it would be silly if PXO let you use altered table files as you could make it so that one shot from your fighter could kill a sathanas :)
The solution is to make a new data folder and rename the current one. Copy your players/multi folder to the new data folder along with the .cfg files from the old data folder
When you want to go back to the port simply swap the data folders around again or use FS2)_open's -mod function.

I know why it's showing up. sheesh, I'm not that stupid. : )
But as a sidenote, if I just tried to play, would it not let me in, or does it just revert to the default table files?

It doesn't let you. Kara didn't say all that stuff cos he likes the sound of his own keyboard :)

But the sounds of keyboards are so soothing.
even more so than those stupid nature sound cds.
Well, thanks for putting up with my dumb questions. I'm at school at this moment, otherwise I just would have tried it myself.

Actually I just wrote it all out so I could simply cut and paste it into the FAQ :D

Never thought I'd see you sell out, Kara. Sad, sad day for FS anoraks everywhere

Well helping Al wasthe main goal but why not do it in a fashion that makes my life easier later :D

It will let you play but will crash when you play with non-modded people.
