LIke the title says, this is a pretty good example of why you should use Mozilla instea of IE. ;)

See... I use IE and I dont have that problem.
-
Me either...IE works just fine...

For the password saving? *blinks*
And it's not MS. :p

Its a JOKE.you're supposed to laugh. ;)
In all seriousness, I switched off of IE because of the popups. Using IE, the web was often like that for me. I didn't like the pop up blocking options out at the time and Mozilla had a builtin blocker--and I could keep my mozilla profile in one directory and use it for both windows and Unix. :D

why can't one continue to use opera?

Since installing that Google toolbar thingy, I've had about three popups. In, like, months. Thus that cartoon has no funny and I'm disappointed to see Weebl's name on it

:D:yes:

The popup blocker is nice. As are some of the plugins, and the Google search field. Now, if only the whole history sidebar wasn't just plain ****ed, Mozilla would actually be a substantial improvement. I use my history setup for basically everything, so the fact that the damn thing can't even keep the pages in some kind of logical order, never mind store them in a reasonable fashion instead of just totally purging every once in a while, is obnoxious beyond belief.
-
I've been using Mozilla Firebird for a year now, with custom skin and everything, and I would say that anyone should get it.
-
You use your history instead of bookmarks? :wtf:
I can't say anything about the sidebar. I don't use it. It just takes up screen real estate so I disable it.
-
Always have, ever since I switched from Netscape years back. History does everything bookmarks do, and a whole ****load more. Should try it sometime, I imagine it'd take a while to get used to but once that's over with it's far better.
And, I mean, even if you don't rely on it to the extent that I do, it's still a ****ing pain in the ass when you do need it. Want to find that one page in a hundred you went to looking for that circuit board map/serial number/German porn/whatever? Good luck with the page-based sorting- it's not in alphabetic order, it's not in (the absolutely worthless) time order, it's just plopped down wherever the hell Firefox feels like putting it! WHEE!

Er, what? You can click the 'view' button and arrange them in whatever order you like, and there's even a little bar for you to search your history with. What do you want it to do?
