I was kinda looking forward to that game. I really liked the show....I gotta find the eps.
-
The original game was absolute comedy genius.
And I only got it about a month ago in a cheap 4-pack of ole' Lucasarts adventures (Sam & Max, The Dig, Full Throttle & Grim Fandango). I can't get Grim Fandango to work, tho. Keeps on prompting me to install directX 6. Bah.
-
I keep meaning to get a copy of Grim Fandango. One of these days I'll get off my arse and go and steal one from a small child
-
Bastards. Lucasarts has gone to the dogs.
Or cats, whatever.
-
I'd be sad but it was inevitable, boycott Lucasarts ****ty Star Wars games I say.
-
Damn them. Damn them all.
-
NOOOOOO!!!!!
Sam & Max was/is one of my favourite games (and The Dig is pretty good too).
That sucks more ass than.......Sandra Russo(?).
-
damn.... :(
-
To officially mark this as a sad occasion, I am now going to play and finish Hit The Road in utter solemnity and silence.
:(
-
I remember first getting the Sam & Max demo on a cover-disk. A CD cover-disk no less. Back then, the game itself was impressive enough, but to have the DEMO come on a CD! Now that was something.
*reminisces*
-
No kidding... it was certainly something special. Dammit, I can't find my old copy of the game... why did I throw away the box? *slaps face*
-
OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
this doesn't mean they can't pick it up at a later time.
a damn shame, tho. I'd been looking forward to play a _new_ adventure game soon, and then I'd have loved it to be the sequel of one of the best ones ever. hit the road was totally insane.

Excerpt from an article on www.mixnmojo.com:
Want LucasArts to know what you think? For God's sake, don't start a petition! Tell them yourself! Email LucasArts PR ([email protected]), and let them know whats on your mind (in a constructive way, but don't hold back or anything)! Companies are pretty unlikely to un-cancel a game they've already given the axe, but they should at least know when they've made a mistake.

I think this is a good idea.
Well, that is unless you want them to keep cranking out uninspired, formulaic crap.
