Title: Bug 0000031: HUD contrast forced too high
Post by: RandomTiger on March 04, 2004, 01:35:54 pm
Does this still happen?

"Sometimes FS2 would change HUD contrast to high and I couldn't change it back to normal."

"It could happen when I return to game from options, pause, or "esc screen". Or it can happen when I try to use task switching (which was not supported). It also happened once when I launched a mission, played it for a while and then begun playing another mission. This all from tech screen, not campaign."

I have never encountered this bug before. But I thought I am the one who has met every single bug in FSO. ;)

Might be a graphics card problem. Wrong versopm of DirectX, Bad OpenGL/Direct3D/Glide settings.

I think I may have seen something like this once, a long time ago, but not in recent memory.

I've always thought the HUD was too dark, not to light.

And not with a recent build?

[EDIT[ There is the 'L' key, which turns the HUD bright. Isn't it possible that that might cause the trouble?
