I've been fiddling around with tutorials and everything I can get my hands on trying to figure out how to make custom ships, and I'm actually getting somewhere for the first time. Woohoo. Anyway, here's my chain of events:
I modeled the mesh in Blender.
Imported the mesh into Truespace3.2
Saved the mesh as a .cob
Opened the mesh in Lithium Unwrapper.
Created a custom texture and saved the model with the new texture.
Converted the model into a .pof
Tried viewing the model in ModelView or POF Constructor, but it says there's no texture.
In ModelView it show the outline or a white model, but no texture. In POF Constuctor, it doesn't show anything at all.
So how do I get the texture to work?
I've been following the Ship Creation Guide (http://underworld.fortunecity.com/pacman/106/fs2mods/shipcreationguide/) by IP Andrews.

For most redily available editors to show the textures, they must be in the appropriate FS data directory and saved as a 8-bit PCX. If the file is there, then it's probably too much color depth keeping the textures from displaying. Newer FSO builds will support most texture formats, but the editors still don't.

just move the texture (in pcx 8 bit if running vanilla fs2) into freespace/data/maps
