Get Service Pack 3 for 2000?
-
yeah, i noticed that it wasn't calling sp3 an OS, and put 2 and 2 together... now i'm browsing windowsupdate hoping that it won't be more then 10 MB...
and as for me noticing, i noticed just AFTER i posted the thread...

It'll be huge....... took me 3 hours to DL last time on broadband. And then I uninstalled it, because it ****ed up my machine.
-
think 200 megs
-
589Kb actually... (SP4 though, but it says it has all previous packs included)
-
or not... estimating about 280 minutes to go, 34740 kbs... the 589 was just the installer...
-
589Kb... um... yeah that was just da installeration
-
you actually bought 3dsmax?
sucKA  :p
-

Murphy's Law apply's to you too.

You can't - IIRC it's windows ****ty self--downloader that gets installed and then tries to DL it, so you can unless DL it with a manager if you want the whole, standalong patch. which is ridiculously large..
-
no option to (aldo beat me)... usually AOL poops out after about 5-6 mb, but going to a M$ site, or getting a certificate download overrided AOl completely, so as long as my computer doesen't go to sleep, (which w2k doesn't like) or i run too many programs and make it unstable, or allow a car to hit the telephone pole, it should continue...
200 minutes now
-
56k?
poor, poor person.
-
well, the only reason i have w2k, is because apparently, without an ethernet card, you can't use a cable modem on anything less then w98Se... but then the drivers for the modem ****ed up the whole system, so i had to reinstall w2k, and the model never was recodnised by the device manager or bios...
-
why not buy a $15 ethernet card and plug it in?
-
this was several months ago, and my parents were already flipping out because they got a popup about how to 'enlarge stuff' and therefore went through every file on the 2 hard drives (40gb of stuff) looking for anything to blame me for... but, they have already told me, as long as i keep my grades up, i'll get my laptop in june/july, and get comcast back then, so that we won't have to deal with usb modems, and can go wireless...

don't worry...it won't stop yet.
Knowing Micro$oft and their windows updater and life in general it will time out when you have 1mb left or something
-
I remember you used to be able to download whole service packs from a HTTP address, and were download-manager compatible... the caveat being they included EVERY possible file in the SP so you'd download 500MB instead of 200. Wonder if you can still do this?
-
Why on earth are you using AOL? It's just the same old internet for twice the money. If you switch ISPs you'll probably be a much happier person, but that's just my 2cents
-
not the case here... its $35 for AOL, and $55 for comcast, and $48 for Verison DSL...
-
can't you just get service from your phone company for like $10 a month? What about Netzero or Roadrunner?
-
nope... i've tried to fight all these with my parents, but their mind is set untill july... anyways, 100 minutes...
-
yay! downloaded, and installing (in theory)...
-
What about PeoplePC?
-
too much of a hastle to change emails, and billing stuff etc... plus, if i'm not paying the bill, i could really care less...
