Is it gonna stay as "www.freespace2.com" or will it be changed to something else like the HLP URL?
-
i don't think that would be a good idea. Dave gave us the code as a favor. it wouldn't be nice to change the link to their website.
-
wich they havn't updated for four years
-
it isn't as simple as you think it would be, there all encrypted
this
33BE^(8]C01(:=BHt
==
www.freespace2.com
-
change it to the old freespace code then
(if you could anyways..)
www.volition-inc.com
-
it's easier to remember www.freespace2.com, if I were to change it I would make it something like 'scp', or 'cheater', or 'something'
-
*nods*
-
id make it spc cuz then i could toggle invunrability reall fast right before i die
-
[tazman@dragon]$ cryptstring www.freespace2.com
33BE^(8]C01(:=BHt
[tazman@dragon]$ cryptstring The\ Source\ Code\ Project
7+C^71B@T/'A1]FLb
[tazman@dragon]$ cryptstring fs2_open
B[8._F3@
[tazman@dragon]$ cryptstring Gutter\ is\ a\ tool

you turn the code on before hand
then you go tilde (~ key) I = invulnerability
-
i have it programmed into my joystick. it types it in half a second.
-
that's a good idea
-
In the joystick? rofl. I dont need any cheats when playing.
The only situation where I use them (daily) is for testing my stuff.
and I would change it to either "All your base are belong to us" or "www.3dap.com/hlp" :)
-
is there a way to set up a script to type a certain string in FS retail PXO chat?
i keep p1mping HLP and SCP, but in the interface in vanilla my keystrokes take about 5s each to register, so it get's quite annoying.

Instead of changing the cheat, maybe you could add more hooks to activate it? I mean I never use the cheats, but Drew up there stated such a compelling case I felt I just had to say something
